Donald Trump Secures Commanding Victory in Michigan GOP Primary, Defeating Nikki Haley

LANSING, MI — In a landslide victory, former President Donald Trump clinched Michigan’s Republican primary on Tuesday night, marking his sixth consecutive triumph in GOP contests.

With approximately two-thirds of the anticipated vote tallied by early Wednesday, Trump, aged 77, garnered 68.1% support, while Nikki Haley trailed with 26.7%.

This win adds to Trump’s track record of double-digit victories over Haley in five states and the US Virgin Islands.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters at a Michigan GOP watch party via phone, Trump hailed his margin of victory as surpassing expectations.

Addressing attendees, Trump emphasized the significance of his triumph, asserting, “We win Michigan; we win the whole thing,” eagerly anticipating November’s electoral showdown.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Pete Hoekstra endorsed Trump as the GOP’s “presumptive nominee” during the Grand Rapids watch party, as reported by NBC News.

Responding to the outcome, Haley campaign spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas cautioned that Trump’s loss of around 35% of the vote should serve as a “flashing warning sign” for the November election.

Perez-Cubas underscored that since Trump’s 2016 victory in Michigan, the state’s Republicans have lost control of the state House, state Senate, and Governor’s mansion.

She emphasized the broader implications, stating, “Let this serve as another warning sign that what has happened in Michigan will continue to play out across the country,” emphasizing the need for an alternative to Trump to avoid further losses to the socialist left.
