Judith Beltz

Judith Carole Beltz, aged 85, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. Born on August 25, 1940, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Judith lived a life rich in love, dedication, and warmth.

A devoted educator by profession, Judy was a respected and caring teacher who voluntarily took a leave from education to stay at home when her children were born. Once they were grown, she re-entered the profession as a substitute teacher in Michigan. When she moved to Florida to live with and care for her mother, she initially served as an instructional aide at a local school. She subsequently moved into a position in the main office where she greeted visitors and interacted with students and staff while performing various clerical duties until she retired.

Judy’s life was filled with joyous pursuits and cherished moments with family and friends. As a fun-loving individual, she treasured spending quality time with her loved ones. A member of a ladies group, she delighted in weekly game nights, cherishing companionship and laughter. Her creative spirit shone through her love of crafts—crocheting, Diamond Dotz, and puzzles brought her immense satisfaction. She was also an avid reader and a passionate sports fan, particularly following the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Judy’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life; she was a devoted Catholic who found solace and strength in her beliefs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leah (Pyles) Wallace; her brother, John Wallace; and her beloved dog, Margarita, who brought her immense joy and companionship.

Judy leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her children, Paula Suddon, Lori (Matthew) Abbott, Carole Beltz, and Stephen Beltz; her sister, Janet Bole; her grandchildren, Baylee Suddon, Jared (Lauren) Suddon, Brendan Abbott, Kate Abbott, and Kennedy White; and one great-grandchild, Leo Suddon. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends also mourn her loss.

At the family’s request, there will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Judy’s life. Following this celebration, interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
