Leslie Eugene “Gene” Ferrell, 78, born on March 8, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at We Care at South Hills in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
Gene dedicated much of his life to the hospitality industry, where he served diligently in various management roles. His career culminated with his most recent position as the manager of the Oglebay Mansion Museum in Wheeling, where he contributed significantly to its operations and guest experiences.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of the Prayer Service at 1:00 PM, celebrated by Father Doney Chacko, at CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists, located at 1500 2nd St., Moundsville, WV.
