Norma Jean Smith Straight, 68, of Valley Grove, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1957, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late James and Grace Armstrong Smith.
Norma’s life was defined by service, home, and family. She was a judge for the Ohio County Fair exhibits and the West Alexander Fair 4-H exhibits. A skilled seamstress, she loved turtles and enjoyed crocheting. She was a devoted caregiver to her parents and to anyone in her family who needed her. Most of all, she cherished all of her granddaughters.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen (Fred) Dague; her sons, Jim (Kayla) Straight and Andy (Kyrie) Straight; and her granddaughters, Klara Straight, Baylee Straight, Kameron Straight, and Rowan Straight.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at West Alexander Cemetery, 137 Route 40 West, West Alexander, PA.
