Shook, Glen Ellsworth, 92, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Continuous Care Center at Wheeling Hospital.


He was born on March 28, 1933, in Marshall County, WV, son of the late Tom and Dorothy Miller Shook.


Glen was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War Conflict. He was a sheet metal worker with the Local 33-Wheeling district, owner of Valley Sheet Metal, and retired with the City of Wheeling Housing Authority. He was a methodist by faith.


He was a past B.P.O.E. Exalted Ruler in Wheeling Elks No. 28. He was a member of the Mason Lodge #5, Jesters, Osiris Shrine, American Legion Post #1, Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.), Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.), Warwood Vets, National Rifle Association, and a life member of The Wildlife League of Ohio County.


In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by twelve siblings, Martha Shook, Charles Shook, Clyde Shook, Joe Shook, Joann Danehart, Jean Merwin, Bessy Woodall, Lee Shook, Leota McMahon, Grace Davis, Cathy Shook, and Carolyn Shook.


Glen is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Dona C. Kuhens Shook; son, Wayne E. (Stefania) Shook; brother, Bruce (Connie) Shook; three grandchildren, Nicole (Steve) Avon, Ashley (Dwayne) Blanchard, and Britney (Brian) Valentine; and nine great-grandchildren, Hallie Avon, Liam Avon, Dylan Avon, Ayla Blanchard, Asher Blanchard, Chase Valentine, Landon Valentine, Cade Valentine, and Steele Valentine.


Services were held at the convenience of the family with arrangements made by Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311).
