Archie C. Jackson, 59, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his sister’s residence.
Born on April 16, 1966, in Wheeling, Archie was the beloved son of Mary Lou Burch Taylor and the late Victor Jackson, Sr. Throughout his life, Archie was known for his generous spirit, kind heart, and deep appreciation for the simple joys of the outdoors.
Archie had a special love for animals and found great happiness in camping, fishing, and spending time in nature. An avid outdoorsman, he felt most at peace beneath an open sky or alongside the water with a fishing pole in hand. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, never hesitating to offer support, kindness, or a warm smile. Above all, Archie treasured the time he shared with his family and friends, creating lasting memories through laughter, storytelling, and togetherness.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Janice “Suzy” Moore Orr; his maternal grandmother, Twila Beatrice Jones; and his great-nephew, Ethan Edwin Lee Holmes.
Archie leaves behind those who will forever cherish his memory: his loving companion of more than 20 years, Kristina Lucas; his mother, Mary Lou Burch Taylor; two brothers, Victor Jackson, Jr. and Scott Jackson; one sister, Leisa Meyers; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering love.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling (304-242-2311). Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In honor of Archie’s lifelong love of animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio County Animal Shelter or the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
