Margaret (Brown) Stern of Moundsville, West Virginia, was born on June 25, 1950, and passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by the love of her family.

Margaret was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her family and friends. Margaret had a kind and generous heart and was always finding ways to make others smile, offering comfort, laughter, and support to those around her.

She was a proud member of VFW Post 437 and enjoyed being part of her community. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting Bob’s Lunch, her favorite coffee spot, where she could share stories, laughter, and good company. Margaret believed deeply in standing by the people she loved, often reminding them with her favorite phrase, “No matter what,” a reflection of her devotion and loyalty to her family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Donald (Shirley) Brown; her mother, Mary V. (Howard) Truex; her Brothers, Edward Brown and Donnie Brown , her beloved grandson, Robert Wayne Confer Jr, and her two life long best friends Sharlene Cain and Becky Lude.

She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Sherry) Stern, John (Sherri) Stern, and Sandie Hewitt (Brian McMahon); her cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle (Skyler) Stern, Roger (Bri) Rush, Chelsea (Justin) Keyser, Alexys (Brittany) Stern, and Kaitlynn (Marie) Hewitt; as well as several beloved great-grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Margaret’s love, strength, and dedication to her family will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance with Margaret’s wishes, there will be no public services held at this time.
