Gerald “Jerry” William Walton, Sr., 77, of Wheeling, WV, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
He was born July 2, 1948, son of the late Jack and Margaret Fry Walton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gerald “Buddroo” Walton, Jr.; three brothers, Butch, Pat and Ron Walton; and two sisters, Trisha Otto and Annelle Adkins
Jerry was a member of the Laborers’ Local 1149, loved fishing and ATV riding and was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Paula Yates Walton; daughter, Lisa (Bill Fleming) Hastwell; sons, Douglas Walton and Kevin (Calvin) Walton; grandsons, Brandon (Unique) Murphy, Dylan Walton and Seth (Isabella Anderson) Hastwell; great-granddaughter, Wren Murphy; brother, Jack Walton; sisters, Rosemary Hamm, Donna Crow, Cindy (Ted) Case and Cathy McWhorter; sister-in-law, Katy Walton; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Friday, April 24, 2026 from 12 PM – 8 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
