James Ronald Allen III, 18, of Dallas, WV, died Sunday, May 3, 2026.
He was born January 14, 2008, in Wheeling, son of James Ronald Allen, Jr. and Billie Jo Armbruster Long.
James was a coal miner at Ohio County Mine. He loved Chevy trucks, mud bogging, hanging out with his friends and girlfriend, Kie, hanging out at Stulls and playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Todd Eli Long; paternal great-grandfather, Howard Kestner; maternal grandfather, Carl Armbruster; and uncle, Jeff Kestner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Kali Long and Cassidy Allen; several stepsiblings; aunts, Millie Armbruster, Jennifer (James) Groves, Heather (Chad) Curfman and Jamie Allen; paternal great-grandmother, Shirley Kestner; paternal grandparents, Ronald (Kathie) Allen; maternal grandmother, Millie Walker; and several cousins.
Friends and family will be received Friday, May 8, 2026 from 1 – 3 PM and 5 – 7 PM and Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 11 AM until the time of service at 12 PM with Pastor George Crawford officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
