Helen Ruthann Gilliam, 63, of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
She was born on March 14, 1963, in Baltimore, MD, the beloved daughter of Lawrence Brown and Melvetta Gilliam Biggers.
Helen was known for her grace, strength, and loving spirit. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, warm heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, aunt, and uncle.
Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Jazmyne Scott of Wheeling, WV & her husband Gage; her cherished granddaughters Samara, Kamilah & Elliett; her mother Melvetta Biggers; her sister Erica Biggers & David Anayo; and her nieces Ja’Shi Tolliver & Cani Carter, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Laughlin Chapel.
