Ralph Samberson

WELLSVILLE: Ralph Samberson,94, of Wellsville, passed away on May 11, 2026 at home. Ralph was born on December 31, 1931, the son of the late Abe and Ruth (Bailey) Samberson.

Ralph retired in the 1980’s from Crucible, was a longtime Yellow Creek Township Trustee and worked for the county clerk’s office. Ralph enjoyed giving back to his community. He was a member of The Southern Ruritan Club, Wellsville Eagles, SOI, Elks, and American Legion Post 374. Ralph also was a bingo caller for area organizations and loved to golf and play poker with his “poker buddies” on Mondays. Bartending, auctions, and gardening were also things he loved to do.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers: Paul, Abe, and Clint and his sister, June Merrifield. He is also preceded by his two sons Bryan and Ralph (Butch) Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Milinkovich) Samberson, whom he married in April 1955; his daughter, Mileta (Bill) Watson and son, Michael (Simmynora) Samberson; three granddaughters: Barbie Watson, Holly Watson, and Jen (Kyle Cox) Ellis; three grandsons: Christian, Christopher, and Brayden Samberson; and great grandson’s: Braydon and Mitchel Muntean.

In keeping with Ralph’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements were handled by the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, condolences and donations to the widow to assist with expenses are welcome.
