Schrimp, Martha Jean Garbark, 81, of Warwood, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Seneca Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
She was born on June 3, 1944, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Edward Arthur and Mary Frances Gibson Garbark.
Martha was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She liked having her family together for the holidays and loved her pets, especially her golden retrievers.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Schrimp; three sisters, Helen Garbark, Peggy Carbol Winsky, and Katherine Snively; four brothers, George, James, Phillip, and Edward Garbark; daughter, Barbara McCardle; and grandson, Thomas McCardle.
Martha is survived by her three children, Joan (Jeff, Sr.) Harvath, Robert Schrimp, and Lisa (Chris) Kranske; ten grandchildren, David (Jennifer) McCardle, Dakota McCardle, Nicole Harvarth-Cowgill, Jeffrey Harvath II, Nicholas Harvath, Alicia Harvath, Aaron (Candace) Schrimp, Albert Schrimp, Andy Kranske, and Sean (Emily) Kranske; five great-grandchildren, Audrina, Avery, Kyla, Brooklynn, and Nico; and her dog, Copper.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the Bishop’s Chapel at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1685 National Road, Wheeling, WV with Deacon Douglas Breiding officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum following the service.
