June Caroline Fearon, born on August 20, 1938, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 87, at Moundsville Healthcare Center in Moundsville, West Virginia, after a 14-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
June dedicated her professional life to her work as a bookkeeper at The Healthplan. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her home was where she lovingly gathered her family together, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Fearon; her brother, William Stevenson; and her granddaughter, Katherine Steinman. June’s legacy lives on through her surviving children, Charlie (Pat De Vincent) Steinman, Christine Steinman and self-adopted daughter, Beki Thierwechter, as well as her sister, Shirley Kartman. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Steinman and Maxwell Steinman, who brought immense joy to her life.
A memorial visitation to honor June’s life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, located at 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV.
June Caroline Fearon will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her gentle spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
