Roger Nedwin Wade passed away peacefully at home in Powhatan Point, OH, on June 1, 2026, at the age of 90. Roger was born on January 23, 1936, in Glen Dale, WV, the son of the late John Wade and Evelyn (Doty) Wade Barcus.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife Virginia (Yocum) Wade; step-father Russell Barcus; brothers John Wade, Jr., and Richard Tony Wade; and sisters Betty Day and Barbara Pettit.
Roger leaves behind his daughter Kimberly Bennett and her husband Wes of Powhatan Point, special sister-in-law Sandra Taylor of Moundsville, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Roger was a member of the American Legion Post 3 and the VFW Post 437 of Moundsville and worked as a glass blower at Fostoria.
Roger’s private arrangements have been entrusted to CARE Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists Moundsville Chapel. He will be laid to rest with his wife Virginia at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville at a date and time to be determined. Please check back here for details.
