Elizabeth Faye Howe was born on March 4, 1962, in Portland, Maine, and passed away on June 4, 2026, in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Mattingly and Hoyt Gray; her brother, Wayne Sargent; her sisters, Sharon Cooper and Debbie Moriarty; and her daughter, Nicole Howe.
She is survived by her brother, Bill (Jr) Sargent and his wife, Mary; her great-niece, Sharyn Shepersky, who was the sunshine of her life; and Roger Menard, who was like a son to her. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Makyah and Emillie Camous and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth lived her life with a profound love for her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family would also like to extend special love and thanks to her dear friend, Annette Millett, and her beloved nephew, James Shepersky.
Elizabeth’s private arrangements have been entrusted to CARE Funeral and Cremation Services South Wheeling Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her sister Debbie Moriarty at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, July 25, at 10:00 am.
