Matthew Allen “Matt” Thomas, 36, of Wheeling, WV, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
He was born January 10, 1990, in Rhode Island, a son of Wayne Thomas and the late Mary Reeves. A skilled mechanic, Matt worked with American Tires, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to his craft. Beyond his professional life, Matt found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid enthusiast of video games, where he often enjoyed immersive adventures. His passion for RC cars was well-known among friends and family. A creative spirit, Matt also loved building intricate Lego sets, a hobby that brought him much relaxation and delight.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Matt is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Raeanna (Tucker) Thomas; his father, Wayne Thomas; two step-children, Hunter Roeder and Ava Campbell; one brother; one nephew, Austin Thomas and his best friend, Doug Smith.
