Brenda Montgomery

Brenda Lee Montgomery, 62, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia. Brenda was born on July 2, 1963, in Wheeling to the late Franklin J. and Norman Jean (Payton) Conner.

Brenda was a dedicated and compassionate individual who devoted her life to serving and helping others, both in her personal and professional life. Over the years, she held several jobs, but it was her role as a loving homemaker that brought her the greatest joy and fulfillment. She cherished every moment spent with her family, delighting in cooking, baking, and creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Brenda was committed to her community. She volunteered as a firefighter and served as Captain of the Short Creek Fire Department, as well as contributing her skills and care as part of the Brooke County EMT. Brenda’s dedication to service and her community left a lasting impact on those around her.

Brenda leaves behind her beloved husband, Patrick Montgomery; her children, Josh (Nicole) Miller, Terina (Ryan) Gardner, and Patrick (Megan) Montgomery, Jr.; her brother, Ronald Leroy (Janet) Conner; and her cherished grandchildren, Brayden Miller, Patrick “PJ” Montgomery, III and Amelia Montgomery. Brenda’s memory will also be treasured by her nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate hospice care Brenda received at Liza’s Place in her final days. Brenda’s legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
