Charles Michael “Mike” Estep, born on November 10, 1952, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on June 12, 2026, at the age of 73 at WVU Medicine – Wheeling Hospital.
Mike was a father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished his time with his loyal dog, Coco, and found great joy in car rides with her by his side. Mike also loved the WVU Mountaineers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Bud” and Doris Estep, and his sister, Barbe Estep. Mike leaves behind his children, Heather (Van) Moore of Bethesda, OH and Chris McCracken of Illinois; his grandchildren, Sawyer Moore and Laityn Moore; and his brothers, Donald (Barbara DelGrosso) Estep, Jim (Beth) Estep, and David (Carol) Estep. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends who will miss him dearly.
Mike selflessly donated his body for medical research through the Human Gift Registry of West Virginia, hoping to contribute to the advancement of medical science. Services are pending at this time.
