Evelyn Madeline (Meadows) O’Neal, 96, passed away on June 14, 2026, in Moundsville, WV. Evelyn was born on March 23, 1930, in Covington, VA, the daughter of Odie and Allifair (Webb) Meadows.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Jasper, daughter Pat O’Neal, grandson David, granddaughter Patty Sue, and great grandson Christian Charles.
Evelyn leaves behind her son William “Bill” (Marilyn) O’Neal, daughter Debra Day, son Jasper (Martha) O’Neal III, daughter Valerie Varner, and daughter Vicki Lough. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren including Carla, Michael, Sean, Barb, Terry Lee, Shane, Martin, Chris, Tommy, Alexa, Brandi, Megan, Jessica, and, Elizabeth; 33 great-grandchildren including Catherine, Kevin, Graeme, Griffin, Richard, Zachary, Faith, Jonathan, Kiera, Dalton, David, Shane-Zane, Azalea, Annabelle, Luke, Rylan, Felicity, Myles, Andrea, Sarah, Tyler, Adrianna, Colton, Paul, Destiny, Genean, Shalina, Elle, Cali, Chance, Cash, Sophia, and Hamilton; and 7 great-great grandchildren including Dalton, Ellie, Delilah, Nova, Mason, Elijah, and Artemis.
Evelyn’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her life. An active Bingo player, she loved socializing with her friends during the game and she also enjoyed crafting and flowers.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 19, from 10:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm at CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists Moundsville Chapel, 1500 Second St. Procession to Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, where Evelyn will be laid to rest with her husband Jasper, will directly follow.
