Linda Lou Mullen Grimes, 80, of Wheeling, WV passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Continuous Care Center.
She was born May 14, 1946, in Wheeling, daughter of the late John and Opal Skidmore Mullen.
Linda was a graduate of Wheeling High School. She formerly worked at Wheeling Hospital ER. She served as President of the Wheeling High Alumni Association, was a former member of Elm Grove Eagles, and a former member of the Beta Sigma Phi group. In her free time she loved to go out to eat and sit on her porch. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, LB Innocenti and Morna Jo Tappy; her brother, Frank “Ted” Guthrie; her brother-in-laws, Thomas Innocenti and William Tappy, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Betty Guthrie; her nephew, Tommy Innocenti; and her former husband, Bill Grimes.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Denise Grimes Taylor (David); her nieces, Susan Tappy James (Doug), Laura Jo Innocenti Klein (Chuck) and Tammy Innocenti; her nephews, Trevor Innocenti (Wendy) and Donnie Grimes; 3 special people to her, Tami Horvath, Neali and Alli Helms; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 2pm-8pm with services taking place on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 11am, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311), with Pastor Debra Dague officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
