Shirley Christine Belbachir, 74, of Yorkville, OH, passed away after a brief battle of breast cancer on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at WVU – Wheeling Hospital.
She was born January 8, 1952, the daughter of the late Ted Briggs and Freda (Martin) Brandon. Christine spent her career as an Office Manager, where she was admired for her diligence and attention to detail. She balanced her professional life with a deep passion for writing, always nurturing the dream of becoming a writer. Her love for words and storytelling was evident to all who had the pleasure of engaging with her creative spirit.
Christine’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her two beloved children, Melissa (Bill) Pajak and Scott (Dana Williams) Wragg; four cherished grandchildren, Karina, Julia, Xayne and Liam and one precious great-granddaughter, Penelope.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, services will be held at their convenience.
