Alice Virden

Alice Irene Virden, 78, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her hometown on July 14, 2026.

Born on October 7, 1947, in East Liverpool, Alice dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker and the proud mother of her beloved children. She carried a heart of gold and a faith that never wavered, offering warmth and kindness without judgment to everyone she met. Those who knew her often say she was simply the best mother any child could imagine.

Alice shared 54 wonderful years of love and companionship with her husband, David Allen Virden Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Anderson and Markco Steiner, sister Dorris Anne Tagenthorst and her beloved son, Gregory Alan Virden Sr.

Alice leaves behind her devoted husband, David Allen Virden Sr.; her loving children, Hope Lynn (Donald “Wayne”) Poole, David Allen Virden Jr. (Tracy), and Jean Virden; her daughter in-law, LaVerna Virden; and 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who loved their mamaw dearly.

A woman of strong faith, Alice touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the lives of the family and friends she leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Alice’s life at Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists on Saturday, July 18th, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a service to follow at 6:00 pm.

Alice’s gentle spirit and boundless love will be deeply missed, but forever cherished.
