Chad Allen Gregg, born on March 24, 1988, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 38, after battling a long illness.
Chad was a crematory operator with Ohio Valley Pet Crematory. He provided respectful services to those in need.
Chad was a 2006 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He had a deep passion for punk music – he even had a band with friends during his youth. He was also an avid skateboarder and loved shredding around town, out at the skatepark, or anywhere he could put his board down. Both brought him joy and allowed him to connect with many friends who shared his enthusiasm.
Chad is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Ella and Frank Boring, his grandmother, Carol McCutcheon, his mother Tammy Gregg, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves his siblings, Jared Gregg, Leighanne (Brandon) Everson, Hayden Powell, Paul (Jessika) Gregg and his cherished nephews, Landon and Bodhi.
In honor of Chad’s life and legacy, a celebration of life will be held at The Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling on Saturday August 1st from 2-4pm, allowing family and friends to gather and remember the joy he brought into their lives.
Chad will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched and in his punk rock spirit.
