Robert Lee Howard Jr. “Bob”, 68, of Moundsville, West Virginia, passed away on July 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was a devoted family man who found great joy in spending time with those he loved most. He especially enjoyed teasing and joking with his grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever. An avid golfer, Bob loved spending time on the golf course with family and friends. He also enjoyed working in his garden, tinkering around the house, and keeping busy with projects. Never one to sit still, Bob was always looking for something to do and took pride in staying active and productive.
Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and was also a longtime member of Carpenters Union Local 432, where he dedicated many years of hard work and craftsmanship.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Howard; and his parents, Barbara and Robert Howard.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Casey Howard (Jeffery), Ashley Howard, Robert Howard (Lacy), and Logan Howard (Mandi). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Quentin, Kaden, Kendall, Layla, and Thatcher.
Bob is also survived by his siblings, Carmen Mooe (George) and Keith Howard (Kim), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Bob’s love for his family, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
