Donna Lee Bartley, a cherished member of the Moundsville community, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on November 10, 1943, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Earl F. Patterson and Margaret (Woodruff) Trayon.
Donna was a graduate of Moundsville High School and spent her professional life as a dedicated cleaner, known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail. Her life was filled with simple joys and profound connections, as she found happiness in reading, playing bingo, and engaging in spirited games of euchre. She delighted in playing board games with her children and grandchildren, solving puzzles, and traveling to new places. Donna had a deep love for animals and never met a stranger, always ready with a story to share.
A proud member of the American Legion, Donna was a woman who valued community and camaraderie. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne D. Bartley; her parents, Earl F. Patterson and Margaret (Woodruff) Trayon; her brother, Patrick Patterson; and her niece, Margie Sue (Patterson) French.
She is survived by her significant other, Don Tennihill; her children, Roger Magers, Laura Magers, Jimmy Magers, and Terra (Eric Clatterbuck) (Patterson) Jackson; and her cherished grandchildren, Charlie Jackson and Magnus Jackson. She also leaves behind her brother, Larry Patterson; nieces Patty Patterson and Nikki Patterson; nephews John Patterson, Craig Patterson, Andrew Patterson, and Shawn Patterson; as well as special friends Becky Willis and Charlotte Grall, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
There are no services scheduled at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the The Marshall County Animal Shelter.
Donna’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by her family and friends.
