Mark Carter Edge, 71, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at his home.
He was born on March 8, 1955, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Quincy Edge, Jr. and Alice Fish Edge.
Mark was a retired Civil Engineer for the WV Department of Transportation, Division of Highways and a business partner with Doug Neal at Edge and Associates LLC, for 26 years, where he was a consulting engineer for their architectural partnership. He also spent 15 years with the Ohio Valley football officials.
He was an avid Mountaineer and Steeler fan and loved golfing. He was a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Mary Edge; and nephew, Bruce Edge.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Monica Yocke Edge; two sons, Quincy Edge, III and Carter M. Edge; daughter, Cora M. Edge; two brothers, Roger Edge and Bruce (Jo Ann) Edge; family friends, Sharon Edge and Doug Neal; two grandchildren, Nikola Edge and Infinity Perry; dog, Rascal; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311).
