Michael Britt, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on August 11, 2026, in East Liverpool, Ohio, at the age of 63. Born on March 24, 1963, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Michael lived a life built on love for his family and pride in having served his country.
Michael proudly wore the uniform of the U.S. Army, and the discipline, loyalty, and quiet strength he carried from those years never left him. He brought that same steadiness home to his family, standing as a rock for his wife, children, and grandchildren for decades to come. After his service, he built a career as an Operations Manager at United Rentals, earning the respect of everyone who worked alongside him — but it was at home, surrounded by the people he loved, that Michael was happiest.
He was a die-hard Michigan Wolverines fan, and game days were a family affair — full of cheering, ribbing, and the kind of joy that only comes from sharing something you love with the people closest to you.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Father William Britt and Mother Margaret “Peggy” (Castellano) Britt; stepmother Louise Allison Britt; sisters Cathleen and Colleen Britt; brothers Timothy (Kathleen) and Patrick Britt; and brother-in-law Marvin Schell.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Marsha Britt; daughter Nicole (Troy) Lansdale; and sons Jared (Kimberly) and Justin (Alexis) Britt. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren — Harper, Grayson, Evelyn, Aria, Oakley, Wyatt, Claire, and Luke — who brought him boundless pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers William (Linda) Britt Jr., Stanley (Melissa) Jackson Jr., and Christopher (Kelli) Britt; and sisters Candy (Randy) Taylor, Paula Schell, and Christine (Elio) Lerussi.
Family, friends, and all who knew and loved Michael are invited to gather in his memory. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 14th, 2026, at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio, with a service celebrating his life to follow at 11 a.m.
Michael Britt will be remembered as a proud veteran, a loving family man, and a man of quiet strength and warmth. He leaves behind a legacy of service and love that his family will carry with them always.
