Tammy Darlene Arruda, born on August 22, 1971, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Moundsville, West Virginia, at the age of 54.
Tammy was a devoted in-home care provider and a dedicated homemaker, whose life was marked by her unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life, as she found immense joy in tending to her koi pond and spending cherished moments with her family.
A graduate of John Marshall High School, Tammy also attended Temple Baptist Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. Above all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother, roles she embraced with love and dedication.
Tammy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Carol Wood, and her nephew, Joey Jackson. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her husband Richard Arruda, her daughter Vera Kotajarvi and husband Brandon, her son Johnathan Arruda and partner Lilly Mercado, her sister Tina Jackson and husband Joseph, her grandson Robby Holcomb, her granddaughter Bekah Holcomb, her nieces Desiree Preston and Kallie Jackson, and her close friends Sharon Snyder and Heather Roads.
Tammy’s legacy of love, care, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
