David served his country as a member of the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. Following his service, he worked diligently as a fire extinguisher technician, ensuring the safety of countless individuals through his expertise and commitment. Later, he found fulfillment in delivering meals to those in need as a driver for Meals on Wheels, where his warm personality and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on all who met him.

David’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Barbara Parker, who stood by his side through life’s many challenges and triumphs. Together, they raised two beloved daughters, Jessica (Kyle) Pyles and Bataia Parker, who were the light of his life. He took immense pride in his grandson, Kyle, Jr., cherishing every moment spent with him.

David’s interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. He delighted in collecting action figures and building models, hobbies that reflected his appreciation for detail and creativity. He enjoyed engaging conversations with people from all walks of life, finding joy in shared stories and laughter. He took pride in cutting the grass and caring for his cherished cats.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Lillian Parker. In addition to his wife, daughters and grandson, David is survived by his siblings, Linda Gulla, Greg (Christine) Parker, and Mark Parker, who will remember him fondly for his kindness and unwavering support.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share in the love he so freely gave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to support the family can be made HERE.

David Parker will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and kindness will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
