Monica Ann Arthurs Sutphin, 62, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1964, in Wheeling, daughter of the late George and Alice “Bunny” Messar Arthurs.
Monica was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Redskins fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Schofield; and a niece, Breanna Arthurs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, John Sutphin; sons, Matt (Michelle) Schofield, Matt (Trista) Sutphin and Travis (Cathy) Sutphin; seven grandchildren, TJ, Jenna, Mariah, Cole, Tiarah, Channing and Grace; two great-grandchildren, Meredith and Walker; three brothers, Mike (Lisa) Arthurs, Dave Arthurs and Richard (Clarissa) Arthurs; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 4 – 7 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling (304-277-2722).
Interment in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
