Diane O’Connor, age 58, of Moundsville, West Virginia, passed away on October 22, 2026, at WVU Medicine Reynolds Hospital. Born on March 31, 1968, Diane dedicated over 20 years of her career as a Count Room Attendant at Wheeling Island Casino, where she was known for her diligence and commitment.
A proud member of the Union, Diane served as the Union Shop Steward and was deeply involved in her workplace community. She had a passion for outdoor activities, particularly enjoying mudding on her side-by-side vehicle. Diane also liked playing cards and held a special love for the Christmas season, which brought her great joy each year.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alfred and Vera Null. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, James Barbe; her daughter, Courtney O’Connor; stepchildren James, Chelsea, and Melissa Barbe; siblings Jim Null and Terry McClintock (John Airgood); as well as niece and nephew Derek and Lindsey McClintock.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at CARE Funeral & Cremation, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, WV with Rev. Rodney Hubbs.
Diane’s warmth, dedication, and spirited nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
