Patricia Hupp

Patricia Ann Hupp, affectionately known as Patty by her friends and Gabber by her family, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 77. Born on November 11, 1948, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Patty lived a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.

Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Patty also had a passion for traveling, with Myrtle Beach being one of her favorite destinations. She found solace and companionship in her pet birds, who brought her much happiness over the years.

A dedicated member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Patty’s faith was an integral part of her life. She worked as a clerk at Kroger, where she was known for her warm smile and friendly demeanor.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, William J. Bradley and Alberta Bradley; her sister, Sally Oliver; her aunts, Mildred Niehaus, Sis Niehaus, Ethel Rohl, and Doris Bucannon; and her cousins, Garry Battista, Larry Battista, Mary, Barb, and Sue.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Larry Hupp of Wheeling, WV; her son, David Hupp of Wheeling, WV; her daughter, Patricia Runyon of Penn Hills, PA; her son-in-law, David Hindman of Wheeling, WV; her daughter-in-law Ashley McDonald of Wellsburg, WV; and her godson, Larry Geam Battista Jr. of Indiana. Patty leaves behind her cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Hindman, Jayden Hupp, and Stephanie Runyon; and her adored great-grandchildren, Khaleesi Moore, Ramsay Moore, and Alexander Gatto. She is also survived by her nephews, Luke Oliver, Jacob McCamick, Brad Hupp, and Jimmy Hupp; her cousins, John Bucannon, David Bucannon Jr., Lou Ann Bucannon, Denise Bucannon, James Bucannon, Mathew Bucannon, Jaeden Battista and Vivian Battista; her close friend, Samantha Lucas; and her best friend, Trish Haney.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, February 19th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home Wheeling Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20th, at 11 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center, honoring Patty’s memory and supporting a cause close to her heart.

Patty’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
