Frank Oliveto, 95, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 25, 2026 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital – WVU.
He was born October 30, 1930 in Lumberton, WV, a son of the late Sam and Julia Oliveto. For many years, Frank worked as a coal miner, a profession that exemplified his incredible work ethic and resilience. Outside of work, he found joy in golfing and cherished weekends spent exploring auctions and flea markets with his beloved wife. These shared interests brought them closer together, offering countless memories filled with laughter and companionship.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Frank’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family and his generous spirit.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 10 siblings.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy Jean (Sunderman) Oliveto; his two devoted daughters, Stacie (Mark) Straughn of Wexford, PA and Tracie (Leonard) Reynolds of Weirton, WV; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for the many years they were blessed to share with Frank and will continue to celebrate his life and cherish the memories made together.
