Kathy was a dedicated and hardworking bartender for most of her professional life. She was adored by her patrons, many of whom became like family, and she was deeply respected by her coworkers. Her warm presence and engaging spirit were evident in the many lives she touched throughout her career.

Outside of work, Kathy had a passion for gardening, antiquing, music, and dancing. She found joy in dining out and taking trips to the Amish Country with her beloved husband, Bruce. Together, they were an active couple who relished the outdoors, embarking on numerous backpacking adventures and motorcycle trips. At home, Kathy treasured the companionship of her cat, Peppy, who was a source of comfort and joy.

Kathy was Presbyterian by faith, carrying her beliefs with grace and quiet devotion. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, reflecting in her kindness and compassion toward others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Katherine E. (Kohan) Leslie; her sister, Karen Schlentner; and her beloved cats: Toby, Kitty Kitty, Sugar, and Oreo.

Kathy’s memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Bruce Sutton, with whom she shared nearly 38 years of marriage and 43 years of companionship. She is also survived by her children, Laura (Kevin) Corley and Susan Burke, as well as Eric, Richard, and Tracy, who held a special place in her heart. Her grandchildren, Kayla, Hailey, Patrick, Noah, Abby, Cynthia (Tyler), and Kyle, along with her great-granddaughter Adara, will remember her fondly. Kathy also leaves behind a special sister-in-law, Patty (Charlie) Meredith, and nephews Neal and Keith.

As per Kathy’s wishes, there will be no public services. The family plans to celebrate Kathy’s life privately at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared with Kathy’s family at www.carechapel.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in Kathy’s honor to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice, embodying her love for animals and commitment to their well-being.

Kathy’s warmth, generosity, and love will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
