Brian Lee Blamey, 59, of Wheeling, WV, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Wheeling Hospital – WVU.
He was born in Wheeling on May 6, 1966, a son of the late Richard Lee and Linda Kay (Goodwin) Blamey. For 11 years, Brian was a talented chef at River City, where his love for cooking and creativity shone through in every dish. Beyond the kitchen, Brian found joy in the great outdoors, spending much of his free time hunting, fishing, and camping. He cherished these moments surrounded by nature, which brought him immense peace and happiness. Known for his adventurous spirit, he also had a fondness for fireworks and delighted in setting them off with the kids, creating unforgettable memories for all.
Brian is survived by his devoted wife, Heather (Couch) Blamey of Wheeling; his brother, Shawn Blamey of Wheeling; two cherished step-daughters, Brittany Jenkins of Wheeling and Raven Rhodes of Moundsville; parent-in-laws, Janet and Bill Richards of Moundsville; sibling-in-laws, Lenny Couch of Wheeling and Jennifer Couch of Moundsville; as well as several nieces and a nephew who will all deeply miss him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
