Terry William Trabert, 69, of Wheeling, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Wheeling, son of the late William and Martha (Wallace) Trabert.
Terry was a Service Manage for Coca Cola for 45 years and a member of the Elm Grove Eagles.
In addition to his own children, Terry dedicated his life to children of the Ohio Valley for over 50 years including 35 years as the President of the Mountaineer Baseball Association. He was a former president of the Bethlehem Hilltop league, Coach of Wheeling Post One Baseball, Athletic booster at Bishop Donahue, Coach and umpire of the Beast of the East and seasonal games and tournaments. His legacy
will be carried on through his children.
Terry is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty Jo (Walter) Trabert; sons, Justin (Melanie) Trabert, Matthew (Rachel) Trabert; grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, Easton, Arianna, Michael, Xander; siblings, Tim Trabert, Gary (Shirley) Trabert; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday March 24, 2026 from 3 – 7 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mountaineer Baseball Association or to a children’s charity of the donor’s choice.
