Sandra “Sandy” Mucheck Frasnelli, 82, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling.

She was born in Benwood, WV on November 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Anne (Bozicevich) Mucheck. Sandy was a proud graduate and active supporter of Bishop Donahue High School in McMechen, WV. She was a devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and volunteered every year at the Fish Fry at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. In her professional life she worked diligently as an Office Administrator for People’s Life Insurance Company until her retirement. In her time away from work she enjoyed slot machines with her friends at Geno’s in the Grove.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis V. Frasnelli; three brothers, Joseph, George and Rudy Mucheck; sisters-in-law, Donna and Marge Mucheck, Rosella Mitchell and a nephew, George M. Mucheck.

Sandy is survived by her nephew, Mark (Cindy) Mucheck of Wheeling; a niece, Candise (Beau) Catalano of Wheeling; her step-son, Steve (Terri) Frasnelli; step-granddaughter, Miranda (Brian) Miller; Nieces, Kimberlee (Alan) Dobbs of Sacramento, CA, Judith Mucheck of Pembroke Pines, FL, Adriane (Harold) Cox of Rapid City, SD, Kristen Mucheck of Boston, MA, Kelly Mucheck of PA and Kim Mitchell of Martins Ferry, OH; nephews, Tony and Joey Mucheck of PA; brothers-in-law, Robert (Rosemary) Frasnelli and William (Mary) Frasnelli; several great-nieces and great-nephews and her beloved dog, Precious.

She is also survived by her lifetime friends, Deann Stanton, Darla Ebbert and Sharon James and her dearest friends, Becky and Greg Gantzer and Dr. Carl and Carolyn Kite.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 2-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St, with a 7:30 pm vigil service. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Jeeson officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
