Ola Joanne Gorby, born on September 1, 1971, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Beech Bottom, West Virginia, at the age of 54.
Ola was a dedicated team member at Wendy’s, where she worked diligently and formed lasting friendships with her colleagues. Her passions included reading, art, and the simple joy of doing her nails, activities that brought her much happiness and peace.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Gorby; her grandparents, Mary Lou and William Willison, and Wanda and Arthur Gorby; and her beloved grandson, Hunter Summers.
Ola is survived by her loving mother, Donna (Neer) Gorby; her cherished children, Ashley Gorby, Jonathan Gorby, Wanda Gorby, and Brittany Lohr; her devoted siblings, Donna Gorby, Tommy Gorby, and Mary Watts. She also leaves behind several grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
In accordance with her family’s wishes, all services will be private. Ola will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
