Hance “Brushpile” Hinerman, 62, of Triadelphia, WV passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, surrounded by his family at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
A dedicated member of the Village of Bethlehem road crew and a lifelong farmer, he lived a life rooted in hard work and the great outdoors. As the retired assistant sergeant at arms for the Brothers of the Wheel Northern Chapter, his passion for the open road was only matched by his love for his family, friends, and animals. Whether he was hunting, riding dirt bikes, or spending time with his favorite horse, Lucy, he was happiest in nature. He lived for camping trips, roaring bonfires, and sharing a beer with his buddies. To know him was to love him; he was a compassionate listener with a kind heart and a smile that never faded.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Shirley Hinerman.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Barbara Hinerman; his children, Hance Jr of Moundsville, Cortney Orum of Triadelphia, and Josh (Jessica) Orum of Elm Grove; his grandchildren, Jaden, Gaige, Baylee, Gracelynn and Georgia; his siblings, Joanne & Bob Canaday of FL, Suzanne & Guerry Schuman of Moundsville, Brenda Haggard of NY, Bob & Sandy Hinerman of KY and Jason Hinerman of Moundsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 10am until the time of service at 7pm, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311), with Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating.
