Daniel B. Lamb, 80, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at home.
He was born March 31, 1946, in Wheeling, son of the late William and Helene Brand Lamb.
He attended McKinley Vocational School and DeVry Technical College, served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Chief Engineer from Wheeling Linen Services.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard; daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Lamb; brother, William Lamb, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Irwin Kahn.
He is survived by his “best partner” of 27 years, Kelly Wharton; son, Chris (Kelly) Lamb; grandchildren, Nathan and Kaitlyn; great-granddaughter, Braelynn; sister, Betsy Kahn; brother, Gib (Carolyn) Lamb; nephew, Robert Zinn; and sister-in-law, Marigold Lamb.
Per Dan’s wishes there will be no services. His body was donated to West Virginia University Human Gift Registry, for the advancement of medical research and education. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
