“Together Again”
Eleanor Louise Clark Burris, 95, of Triadelphia, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville, OH.
She was born on September 17, 1930, in Triadelphia, WV, daughter of the late Edgar Clark, Jr. and Alma A. Marple Clark.
Eleanor was a retired Press Operator for Marsh Wheeling Stogies and a homemaker. She was a member of Triadelphia United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, painting, coloring, and trees. She loved to travel to the mountains, especially when autumn leaves were changing. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Walter William Burris; and brothers and sisters, Paul Clark, Kenneth Clark, Florence Gill, Alma Wheeler, George Clark, Lucille Clark, Thomas Clark, Dorothy O’Black, Edith Ross, James Clark, and Betty Chambers.
Eleanor is survived by her son, William (Susan) Burris; granddaughter, Jessica (Greg) Diefenbaugh; grandson, William Franklin (Whitney) Burris; three great-grandchildren, Rylie White, Kolden Burris, and Lanie Burris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services and interment were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements made by Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311).
