Donna Sue (Stevenson) Nicholson, 81, of Wheeling, WV passed away on Sunday April 26, 2026.
She was born in Wheeling on November 19, 1944, daughter of the late James and Virginia (Tedesco) Stevenson.
Growing up Donna was a member of Thompson Church on Wheeling Island. She enjoyed swimming and spending time with her sisters. Donna loved sports especially the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, WVU basketball and the Wheeling Nailers. Donna loved watching her grandchildren grow and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Jo Nicholson; son-in-law, Wesley Lewis Dalton; sisters, Mary Margaret Nicholson, Betty Lou Matthews, Linda Rodak and Peggy Walters.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jim Nicholson; daughters, Shelly (Scott) Stewart, Wendy Dalton; grandchildren, Ashley & Josh Berka, Cullen Dalton, Trevor & Andrea Stewart, Kasie Stewart, Andrew Dalton; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Berka, Colton Berka, Delaney Berka; sister, Virginia Mae Armstrong; brothers-in-law, Fred Nicholson, Jerry Walters and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Friday May 1, 2026 from 2 – 4 and again from 6 – 8 at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) where services will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 10 am. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
