Bonny Beresford, born on September 21, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Wellsville, Ohio, at the age of 97. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Bonny was the beloved daughter of the late Erla (Patterson) Betts. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 65 years Robert “Brass” Beresford; and son-in-law, Willie Brantingham. Her legacy lives on through her loving family, including her sons, Kevin (Joann) and Betts (Lori) Beresford; her daughters, Ann Brantingham and Amie (Terry) Hartman; her grandchildren, George (Bobbi) Brantingham, Carrie (Joe) Frankford, Julie Brantingham, Tiffanie (Kevan) Grimm, Jimi Brantingham, Brittanie Hartman, Jenny (Kim) Brantingham, Joey Beresford, Dalton Vanderpool, and Sierra Beresford; her great-grandchildren, Carolyn (Stephen) Leyman, Damon Grimm, Kiersten Frankford, Kevan Grimm, Garrett Brantingham, Caydence Hartman, Ahliyah Ensell, Nathan Frankford, Landon Frankford, Maddox Beresford, Case Watts, Tegan Arthur, Rowan Arthur, and Levi Brantingham; and her great-great-grandson, Lane Leyman.
Bonny had a deep passion for history and was a very involved member of the Wellsville Historical Society. She enjoyed seeing historical reenactments alongside her devoted husband, Robert, bringing the past to life with enthusiasm and dedication.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Wellsville, Ohio, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Bonny’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m.
