Mary Alice White Knollinger, 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness and quiet devotion to those who knew her best.
Alice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gus and Vilma Miller White, and by her sisters, Jeri, Nancy and Marty, all of whom she held close to her heart throughout her life, including her sister, Betty, by whom she is survived.
For more than 40 years, Alice faithfully worked in the finance department of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. She was known for her dedication, gentle nature and steady presence, earning the respect and affection of coworkers and friends alike.
Alice will be remembered for her warm heart, quiet strength and the simple ways she made people feel cared for and welcome. Her life was one of hard work, loyalty and love for family and friends. Her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In keeping with Alice’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
