Thomas Lee Conner, Sr., 86, of Warwood, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Liza’s Place.
He was born April 20, 1940, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Lawrence and Bertha “Maggie” Hoskins Conner.
Thomas was a retired security guard at Wheeling Jesuit University, loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing, and built his prize possession, his own houseboat. He was a member of Warwood Vets, Elm Grove Eagles Aeries 1891, and Belmont Better Hunting & Fishing Club.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Richardson Conner; brother, Larry Conner; and sister, Peggy Janiszewski.
Surviving are his two sons, Thomas (Mary Beth) Conner, Jr., of Wheeling, WV, and Tim (Melissa) Conner of St. Clairsville, OH; one daughter, Tammy (Jonathan) Martin of Green Cove Springs, FL; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 4-7 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722). A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 12-3 pm at Warwood Vets Club, 598 Hazlett Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003. Casual attire is requested for visitation and the Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liza’s Place, 308 Mount St. Joseph Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
