Gary Earl Beihl, 75 of Charleston, WV, departed this life at his residence on May 15, 2026.
He was born on September 22, 1950 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Harry Earl and Opal Mildred VanDyne Beihl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Eugene Everett Vickery.
Gary was a graduate from Warwood High School, class of 1968. He then went on to study engineering at WV Institute of Technology. After college he started working for Guyan Machinery in Chapmanville, WV for over 29 years. From there he worked for Control Point Machining and Fabrication in Charleston WV, where he retired in December of 2025.
Gary was a very hard worker and took great pride in his work as an engineer. He was also a big sports fan and loved watching his favorite teams, WV Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle but his greatest joy was his four grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are: one sister, Mildred (Midge) Louise Beihl Vickery of Lexington, KY; One son, Brian Alan (Kimberly) Beihl of Murfreesboro, TN; One daughter, Lindsey Marie (Eric) Rakes of Ranger, WV; Four grandchildren- Addison Grace & Jenna Brooke Rakes, Tate Alan & Boone William Beihl; One nephew, Harry Eugene Vickery and one great nephew, Declan Alexander Vickery of Arden, NC And a host of family and friends.
