Debra L. “Debbie” Campbell, 73, of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born July 4, 1952 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Ernest Vitale and Pauline (Shunk) Nolan.
Throughout her life, Debbie found joy and fulfillment in her work as a baker. Her talents in the kitchen brought comfort and happiness to many and her creations were a testament to her skill and passion. Beyond her professional pursuits, Debbie’s heart truly belonged to the great outdoors, where she found peace and happiness in camping and boating at Senecaville. These activities were made all the more special by the constant companionship of her husband, Larry. Together, they shared countless adventures, their love for one another was evident in every moment spent side by side.
A woman of faith, Debbie was a devoted member of the South United Methodist Church in Bellaire. Her commitment to her community also included involvement with the VFW Post 626 in Bellaire, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the spirit of camaraderie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Sanders, and brother, Bill Vitale
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Larry Campbell; son, Ronald (Tamara) Helms; step-daughters, Lisa (Joe) Martin, Jaqueline (Dave) Pasco; grandchildren, Jackie (Cody) Caldwell, Megan Helms, Teddy Cost; great-grandchildren, Blake Caldwell, Maverick Wiggins, Reed Cost, Ellison “Elly” Cost, Freya Cost, siblings, Mike Vitale, Theresa Shoplak, Sam Vitale, and Carrie Vitale.
Per Debbie’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists 204 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Debbie’s warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the unwavering love she held for those close to her heart.
