Together Again
Mary Ann Longwell (Corvino), 86, of Benwood, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving children.
Mary Ann was born on June 27, 1940 in Benwood, WV, the daughter of the late Elvira (Sparachane) and Joseph Corvino. She worked at Reynolds Memorial Hospital until her retirement.
Mary Ann is survived by three daughters: Rose Rutledge, Diane (Jerry) Leighton, and Annette (Dave) Johnson and one son, Frank (Lori) Longwell as well as her angel granddaughter Jennifer Longwell. She also leaves behind 14 additional grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she loved having family barbecues. She also loved caring for Ryder, the family pet, until he passed away. She was an avid fan of Neil Diamond. Mary Ann was Catholic by faith and a practicing member of St. John Catholic Church of McMechen.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 14, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 through a Vigil Service at 7:30 pm and on Wednesday, July 15, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St. Funeral services will commence on Wednesday, July 15, at 11:00 am at the Benwood-McMechen Chapel with Father William J. Kuchinsky directly followed by entombment at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
