Richard Alan “Rick” Seibert, born on August 27, 1954, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 6, 2026, at the age of 71.
Rick was a dedicated and hardworking man whose life was marked by his commitment to family, work, and the simple joys of life. He began his career as a Kiln Placer at Ferro Corporation and later found work as a Presser at National Refractories. In 1999, he embarked on a fulfilling journey as a Bus Driver for Beaver Local Schools, where he devoted over two decades of service. His dedication and kind spirit left a lasting impression on the students, especially the girls’ winning soccer team, who at one time regarded him as their “good luck charm.”
An avid lover of nature, Rick found solace in tending his garden and spending time outdoors. Whether cutting wood or sitting on his favorite tree bench in the woods of his property, he cherished the tranquility and the chance to watch the squirrels at play. His passion for collecting owls reflected his appreciation for the beauty and wisdom of the natural world.
Rick was a devoted father who stood by his daughter’s side through every challenge, earning the affectionate title of “Dr. Daddy” during her chemo treatments. Rick’s greatest joy in life was his only child, whom he loved with all his heart. He treasured every moment they spent together, making family time a priority and creating memories that will be cherished forever. The bond they shared was one of unwavering love, and his devotion as a father was evident to everyone who knew him.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1973, Rick celebrated a milestone of 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife and soulmate, Karen Sue Dotson Seibert. Their union, which began on May 10, 1976, was a testament to enduring love. For 50 years, Rick and his beloved wife, Karen, shared a love and partnership that was admired by all who knew them. Their bond was unbreakable, and where one was, the other was never far behind. They faced life’s joys and challenges hand in hand, building a lifetime of cherished memories together. Their enduring devotion to one another stands as a beautiful testament to a love that only grew stronger with time.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Seibert and Margaret Colledge DiPasquale, his stepfather, Patsy DiPasquale, and his siblings, Don Seibert and Donna Henderson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his cherished daughter, Jessica (Shon) Lewis; and his adored grandchildren, William “Will” and Shane Lewis. Richard also leaves behind his siblings, Joel (Debra) Seibert and Amy (Dan) Claus.
Rick will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and cherished memories that will be held dear by all who knew him.
