Betty Lou Van Tine, 92, of Moundsville, WV, passed away on October 4, 2026, in Glen Dale, WV. Betty was born on November 21, 1933, in Sherrard, WV, the daughter of the late Albert and Virginia (Hill) Fisher.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother Roger Fisher and sisters Elverna McCracken, Theo Miller, and Mary Franklin.
Betty leaves behind her loving family including son Joseph (Nancy) Simon of Tennessee; daughter Linda Simon of Moundsville; sister Barbara West of Ohio; grandson Bradley Simon; granddaughter Shelby Simon; step-grandsons Allen, Andrew, and Adam White; and ten great-grandchildren.
Betty was a true “people person;” she loved chatting with others and making her family and friends laugh. She enjoyed her time in the garden with flowers and hummingbirds and was a devoted member of Harvest Baptist Church.
